I love the atmosphere of the botanist. And they always have good products and a wide variety. My biggest find here is actually an employee though. Lowell Thomas is the best budtender I have had so far. His knowledge of the products is outstanding and he is interesting just to talk to. I am very picky about my herb and he hasn't steered me wrong yet. I especially like his knowledge about the different strains. I feel as though I don't even need to do my homework on the relationships of the strains. For example, I feel I can say to him I liked x strain, which is not in stock, and want something like it. He is ready to suggest strain y and is dead on. Thanks a lot Lowell and everyone else at the botanist.read more

I've been going here for months. Never had a bad experience with product, price, or staff. I read the negative reviews and think that the issues are with the authors of the reviews and not the dispensary. Prices are actually very competitive. Look for sales and specials and you can't go wrong. I've visited 3 others in the area and find myself always heading to the Botanist.read more

I am treated with respect here. They are well managed and I am able to get in and out quickly. The staff are kind in their demeanor. I feel safe going to this location away from the city. They have a nice display of products (packages) from the top Ohio cultivators. Everyone is respectful of the public heath issue and wear masks and gloves. One complaint, INVENTORY. Where are the 1 g vape cartridges where are the 1/2 ounce and whole ounces. Products that are small quantities cut us short on our days. I can get a 1 gram vape cartridge and I can get a 1/2 gram vape cartridge and they both equal ONE Day. Please provide more inventory that allow PATIENTS (not recreational users) to have medication every day and not run out... ever run out of medication that you need? Not fun.read more

Thank you for creating a safer way to pick up our meds! I am impressed by whom ever came up with this idea of curbside pick up.. I hope other dispensaries do this too. Way to lead the pack, I will probably go here exclusively for my med pick ups cause I do feel safer doing it this way... fellow customers if you are interested in a “new way” to receive your “MaryJane” . You gotta try this place, its like ordering carryout 🤭🤗 .. minimal amount of contact.Update: Still coming here even though everyone else is now doing curbside pick up.. which Is pretty convenient. I come back for the consistency on prices and product. Also Erin? (I think that was her name) keep up the great work on patience with us ordering our products over the phone and your kind personality .read more
This will take a moment to explain, but hopefully this review will be helpful for those who rely on dispensaries for serious medical conditions. The Botanist was the first dispensary I went to in Ohio. It was not long after they opened, and at the time I had frustrations about pricing and limited supplies. It's hard to say whether or not the staff was knowledgeable about medical conditions back then, because you can't make worthwhile recommendations with a minimal line of products. As dispensaries opened closer to my home, I took my business elsewhere. Let me just say that The Botanist recently won my business back in a big way! When the COVID crisis hit, the dispensary closest to my home totally abandoned their patients!! They switched to curbside services only, which was fine, but their phone lines were busy for nearly a week; then they closed for 4 days, only to reopen for half a day, then finally announced closure until further notice. The next nearest dispensary responded to this unprecedented crisis by raising all of their prices and pushing product that tasted like it was harvested when Nixon was president. I finally decided to drive an hour and 15 minutes to get to The Botanist and am so glad I brought my business back to them. Erin took my order and she was amazing in every possible way. She listened to me cry about poor treatment at other dispensaries, was patient through the ordering process, made outstanding suggestions based on my conditions and the amount I could afford to spend. She was so great I asked how I could let her boss know what outstanding service she provided. A bit later I pulled up, and received my order immediately. The products were fresh and of high caliber as far as potency and effect. I am taking the time to write this both as a thank you to Erin for being so helpful in my hour of need, but also to share this info w/ other patients. I had no idea how terribly these other facilities would treat their patients until this unexpected crisis hit. The Botanist truly deserves to be commended for continuing to operate efficiently, and providing consistent care to their customers. If you are looking for a dispensary to call home, I can assure you from experience that you will be in good hands if you select this business to meet your needs. Thank you again! (Kristen)read more

The Botanist Canton... beautiful, simple, and professional building! The product choices are vast and they have jars to view and smell. Every time I come in I receive a very friendly greeting by seemingly everyone, then am helped by any of the knowledgeable bud tenders. I always feel happy, calm, and at peace with my medication decisions. They are my absolute favorite dispensary!!! I’ve been to several others and consistently go back to The Botanist Canton because I know the quality of the employees/product and price are continually unsurpassable.Thank you Botanist ‘family’ for helping me be the best me.read more

Ignore the 1 star reviews, they are from people who didn't make enough time to wait. People show up hours before they open. This is a pretty big deal you didn't think you would be the only one to show up did you? The staff was very kind and helped direct people with walkie talkies and a number system. They have to close on the dot so people were turned away the 1st day but you keep your ticket and come back the next. I had 2 wait 5 hours on the second day. They were very nice to offer heated seating in a tent with hot chocolate, coffee, tea and cider for those waiting. Parking is tight but they had an optional valet. So you go up get your ticket and fill out a patient intake form, be prepared to pay cash have your driver license as well as a printed or digital copy of your Card from the pharmacy board with the QR code so they can scan it. Staff are there to answer ANY questions about cannabis they took groups in 2-6 at a time varying throughout the day. Once you are called to go in you will go inside and hand the admin your intake form. There is a pharmacist on hand to help you with what might help you. as of the second day they had only flower but staff informed that much more is on its way in the coming months. While in the waiting room there is seating and you will be called in through double locking security doors along with a staff member. I didn't get to go back until after 6 but their CEO Dave Neundorfer took us back. It was nice to see a business owner so hands on with opening day. I heard many people complain about waiting that day. I had nothing to tell them this is new territory and you should not be hard on a business to take on such a big project. I had a wonderful experience and talking with staff about the industry as well as their plans to open more dispensaries in other cities like Columbus. The prices were very fair. Ask the staff to explain their pricing they distributed very nicely printed menus that explained THC Content and CBD Content. There is even more information on the labeling of their padckaging. They took 50% off of everything and a 'daily unit'= 1/10 or 2.83 grams we were allowed 7 daily units so as to allow others to make purchases as well so a little over a half oz for under $200 Very fair! But anyway you are taken to the sales floor where they have display cases setup and have a number of items for sale as well. They said they were going to put in a seed bar in the future as well as allow online ordering in the future I believe? don't quote me on that. You talk with some very nice ladies at the cash register which will help you make decisions on what you should get. You place your order and it is filled in about 10 minutes. I had such a good time and highly encourage anyone to come to the Botanist.read more
