Ohio MMJ patients interested in registering for Veterans status to be eligible to receive Veterans discounts must submit appropriate documentation to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy for review. Those applying for veteran status must provide a copy of any ONE the following documents:
Please note: All acceptable proof documents, except a Veterans Identification Card, must show the veteran status as honorable, general, general under honorable conditions, or discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.
Documentation must include the applicant’s date of birth, and may be emailed to MMCPRegistry@pharmacy.ohio.gov or mailed to:

The fastest way to qualify for the Ohio Dispensaries Veterans discount is to email a copy of one of the 4 documents to the state. This will take about a week after submitting to become active.
The approval from the state on Veteran status typically happens the same business day. It can take longer. Patients have to wait to activate their medical marijuana card until after the status is approved. Once approved, the card activation fee from the state drops from $50 to $25.
