Premo Cannabis Co. is getting ready to open the first cannabis dispensary in Keyport.
The Black- and local-owned business is based at 2 E. Front St. It aims to provide safe, high-quality cannabis products in a secure environment staffed by knowledgeable employees. Product categories include flower, edibles, vapes, concentrates and tinctures.
President and Chief Operating Officer Darrin Chandler Jr. leads Premo. The executive has been at the forefront of assisting with the expansion of the state’s cannabis industry for years.
Chandler is a real estate executive at Ripco, which focuses on cannabis operator representation. Additionally, he is president of Premium Genetics, a Black- and family-owned venture that provides consultant services for cannabis brands.
“We pride ourselves on being the township’s first cannabis dispensary,” said Chandler. He believes the former bank-turned-dispensary will be a “must-see” destination in New Jersey.
“We are homebred – true local business owners looking to elevate our community and create an informative and collaborative culture around cannabis that will be a part of New Jersey for years to come,” he said.
