Green Springs Medical Dispensary becomes first Arkansas dispensary to have license revoked – KATV

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Green Springs Medical Dispensary of Hot Springs has gotten its dispensary license revoked by the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division (ABC), making their revocation in Arkansas the first since the implementation of the medical industry in Arkansas in 2019.

It comes as a result of several ongoing violations, including the selling of over 1,800 expired products that was discovered in October 2023 when an undercover ABC agent purchased these products.

The dispensary will have the chance to appeal the revocation in front of the ABC board, determining if the dispensary will be allowed to stay or not.

The appeal will allow it to remain open pending the appeal with the board listening to the testimony and determining whether or not the revocation will be upheld.

“Arkansans approved a strictly regulated medical marijuana program,” said Trent Minner, leader of the Department of Finance and Administration’s Regulatory Division, which includes ABC. “For the safety of the industry and patients, ABC has a responsibility to ensure compliance with the law.
