FIRST LOOK: Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians’ historic medical marijuana launch – WLOS

CHEROKEE, N.C. (WLOS) — Only on News 13 — an exclusive first look at the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians packaged cannabis products. The historic medical marijuana dispensary will open on Saturday, April 20, with approximately 40 different products.

All of the products have been produced locally from marijuana grown and processed at the Cooper’s Creek farm. Customers will be able to pick from a number of vape pens to pre-packaged buds and marijuana cigarettes. The Great Smoky Cannabis Dispensary will also offer a variety of edibles from several flavors of gummies to strawberry chocolate bars and a variety of cookies. A list of the initial products will be posted on the Great Smoky Cannabis Dispensary‘s webpage Thursday April 18, 2024 at 8 p.m.

“Please understand that it is a limited menu and so we are focusing on, the highest quality product you know what I’m saying health and safety is paramount so that we’re not bringing anything to market until our systems are there,” said Forrest Parker, General Manager of Qualla Enterprises LLC/Greay Smoky Cannabis Dispensary.
