FULTON COUNTY, Ohio (WTVG) – A traffic stop in Fulton County ended with troopers making a drug bust worth $35,000.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers stopped a 2016 Ford Focus with Washington license plates around 12:30pm on May 11. Authorities pulled the driver over for speeding near milepost 36 in Fulton County.
Troopers say they smelled marijuana during the traffic stop. They executed a probably cause search and found 15 pounds of marijuana in the trunk.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the drugs have an approximate street value of $35,025.
The driver, Ekai Stone 27, of Gladsone, Ore, and passengers, Andrew Parson, 29, and Noah Hupp, 22, both from Milwaukee, Ore., were locked up in the Correction Center of Northwest Ohio. Each were charged with possession of marijuana and drug trafficking, both third-degree felonies.
