Everyone who watches The Bachelor knows Bekah Martinez.
The nation first met the nanny from Fresno, California, on the Jan. 1 season premiere of the show, when she showed up to meet 36-year-old race car driver Arie Luyendyk Jr. in a cherry red 1968 Mustang.
Since then, the nation has come to know everything about her, including her age (22, which is a Big Deal this season), her hobbies and her fiery attitude.
But, despite her face airing on national television every Monday night, for a couple months, she was listed as a missing person.
According to the North Coast Journal, Martnez’s face was among 35 faces listed earlier this week as missing in Humboldt County, California. When the publication asked its readers if they knew any of the faces, the reality star’s was instantly recognizable.
The publication later confirmed with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office that, yes, it was indeed Martinez’s face among the list of missing persons, and that it was since removed.
So, why was not-so-missing Martinez’s face on there in the first place?
According to sheriff’s office spokesperson Samantha Karges, Martinez was reported missing on Nov. 18 at just after 1 a.m. by her mother.
