Rise is a medical cannabis dispensary location at 1920 Cooper Foster Park Rd in Lorain County. Rise dispensary menu products are available to patients near Lorain with a qualifying medical condition that have already received their Ohio MedCard.
First off, For medical patients in Ohio, This is a Blessing, in any form. So lets pick apart what's going on here and the strains provided here. Rise is very clean, the staff is very nice, well presented and they do a good job of making you feel right at home. If your new to MM, visit here and talk with a pharmacist, they are the best in town as far as compassionate care protocol. No mouth breathers here, and no slobs.First step this shop needs to do to make headway, is to drop "Buckeye Relief" - The strains provided by "Buckeye relief" are extremely sub-par and just not worthy of a medical label. "Buckeye Relief" has false THC and CBD content ratings, and for the price paid into the product, its just not worth your money or effort, they don't make a good strain. Also available at RISE is #CalyxPeak - This company provides some decent products. Not great, but decent. There are many strains from #calyxpeak available, as it is "JP-MORGAN CHASE's" venture into herb. Some better informed buying and research staff would yield the better strains. #CalyxPeak top strains include - "Orange43", "DosiFace" and "Whip it". Also available is "Firelands Scientific" Who actually do ok with CBD based products, try "locomotion number 1" , "Shark Shock "and "ACDC" for CBD based relief. Its not great, but its decent for what we have as patients."RISE" use to make "WOODWARD" Farms/ "Fire Rock" Farms available but due to pricing via woodward, they will no longer carry the infamous "blueberry cheesecake" Which in most patients eyes , its one of the best around. If you can find "blueberry cheesecake or "wedding cake" from woodward - these two are GREAT strains. Also new to market is "Agri Med" Farms, which they do not carry yet, but I hear they might in near future. "Agri-Med" is the best right now. Placing certain quality products on shelves will create a following and increase trust and return business. Placing certain quality product on shelves will reduce dead weight, and prevent old product from being sold. Also available here is "Cresco labs" - again, CRESCO is subpar medicine, but they do make a couple strains that are beneficial like "Harle Tsu" and "Pheno 51" - If you want top shelf, CRESCO, again, is not it.RISE is doing all the right things when it comes to care, If they could step up the purchasing game and hire someone with deep plant knowledge rooted in the business, they could do really great. Purchasing seems to be handled by someone who is not rooted in MM, but rather takes what is offered from the supplier. Finding a strong buyer /buyer assistant will change this store in a good way. Someone who won't pick out old product or strains that are "basic". Knowledge at counter is not deep, But good enough and they are improving daily with knowledge and culture. As a community all the growers from every grow in Ohio are hanging and drying for far too long. You are messing up all your product by hanging too long . ALL OF IT. Every dispensary in Ohio is doing this. It needs to stop. You are ruining product and removing beneficial artifacts from the plant by not pulling, hanging and trimming and flushing in proper cycles. In dealing with this issue, the buyers need to be more "picky" when "shopping" for desk herb. The fine , properly hung herb, we are not seeing and leads me to believe the tight circle of growers and buyers are getting proper herb and keeping it for themselves and passing us the lower parts of plants, smaller plant yield and over dried, over hung herb. Not properly flushed herb will create headaches, Some of these grows are not flushing proper. Lets Sum it up: RISE LORAIN is doing great things. Great people and they are trying to learn a new business while they serve, I believe they will get it right, the people they have can learn and can improve. A Proper rooted buyer is needed here. Rise needs to add a few growers to its desk - AGRI-MED and FARKAS Farms would be ideal choices. All in All, We love you guys, keep up the good work.read more
Because they JUST OPENED, they are a little HIGH.. excuse the pun.., on price and slim selection.. But besides that, I was VERY IMPRESSED on potency of product and discreet container/bags to travel home with and it's smell proof bag and bottles. LORAINS FINALLY done something right for the city. 👍👍read more
I'm giving them 5 stars because some clown gave them a 1 star rating when they hadn't even opened. I haven't been there yet, but if they post their menu and I see something I like, it isn't an outrageous drive for me, even though I have dispensaries closer. It's all about the flower.read more
Not sure why Eric Fortuna called their meds garbage when he couldn't have been there since the place wasn't open 5 days ago when he reviewed it. He lives in Michigan obviously from his review history and Detroit remark.read more
