MONTCLAIR, NJ — The links between cannabis and music are well-documented. And that connection between good buds, groovy jams and community-building will soon be on display in Montclair, the owners of Kush Connection say.
Last week, the Montclair Town Council paved the way for two more recreational marijuana dispensaries during their public meeting. Both businesses must still obtain a conditional use permit from the Montclair Planning Board.

The first, Night Owl, will be located at 300 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, the site of the former DLV Lounge. The second, Kush Connection, will be located at 135 Valley Road in Montclair, across the street from Tierney’s Tavern.
The dispensary is owned and operated by the Kushner family, who have been Montclair residents for more than 30 years.
“We still have to get through the zoning process, but once that is completed, we’ll have everything we need to submit for final inspection by the state,” Jake Kushner told Patch earlier this week.
“Once that is completed, we will begin operations – most likely sometime around 2023’s holiday season
