MANSFIELD, OH – On January 19, 2017, at 1618 hours the METRICH Enforcement Unit with assistance from the Mansfield Police Department, the Allied Special Operations Response Team (ASORT) and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) executed a drug-related search warrant at 465 Park Ave. West in the City of Mansfield.
The search warrant was the result of a short-term investigation after several complaints of suspected drug trafficking in the area of Park Ave. West and Bartley Ave. The search warrant was signed by the Honorable Judge Ardis.
During the search, detectives located suspected crack cocaine, suspected heroin, marijuana and several packages of hash oil also known as “dabs.” Detectives also seized over $2,000.00 in U.S. currency.
Detectives arrested and charged Devall L. Williams Sr. with six (6) counts of Trafficking in Drugs and Gerald S. Nixon Jr. on a parole violation.
METRICH Commander Lt. Joseph D. Petrycki stated, “METRICH will continue to target suspected drug dealers in the community, especially those that are selling Fentanyl and thanks to those individuals in the community who provided information that assisted in the investigation.”
