IRONTON — The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports:
DRUG ARREST: Following a traffic stop, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Timothy Layne Van Blarcume, 28, of Orchard Hollow, Ironton, on charges of trafficking in marijuana and trafficking in hash and transported him to jail. Officers confiscated 452.3 grams of marijuana and two grams of hash along with $547 in cash.
BURGLARY: A 23-year-old South Point area man reported Sunday that someone broke into his residence and stole an X-box One, an X-box, a WiFi router, a Remington shotgun and some jewelry. The items were valued at $1,040.
ESCAPE: Two teenage boys and two teenage girls escaped from the Lawrence County Group Home north of Ironton on Sunday.
DRUG ARRESTS: Following a traffic stop Saturday, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Christy M. Potter, 46, of the 2700 block of South 7th Street, Ironton, on a felony and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drugs. Another person in the vehicle, 56, of Ironton, was charged with possession of drugs, a misdemeanor.
DRUG ARREST: After getting a call Saturday about an unconscious person in a vehicle at the Chesapeake Flea Market, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Russell Sullivan, 36, of Wilson Road, Barboursville, on felony and misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and transported him to jail.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: A 41-year-old South Point area woman reported last week that someone stole a 1991 Ford Ranger valued at $1,000.
