WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
DCMJ have rolled up over 4,000 joints to give out on January 20 for people to light up four minutes and 20 seconds into Donald Trump’s inauguration speech.
A DCMJ organizer says, “If you haven’t smoked weed before, the next four years will be a really good time to start,” and adds it will take a “joint” effort to keep rights for cannabis users.
Organizers have said they will start at Dupont Circle and walk to the National Mall the morning of January 20, all while giving out 4,200 joints along the way.
According to DCMJ’s website,
“We legalized cannabis in Washington, DC and we are not going to let anyone take that away from us! This is an outreach opportunity to show President Trump’s supporters we are the marijuana majority!”
The website also lists D.C. marijuana laws, regarding smoking on federal land, and money exchanging hands, both of which are illegal.
