Columbus, OH – In 30 days possession of up to 200 grams of cannabis will not lead to possible jail time. The Columbus City Council has passed legislation that will reduce penalties for possession.
Offenders caught with up to 100 grams will cost a Hamilton, a $10 fine. Caught with 100 and 200 grams would pay $25. City Council President Shannon Hardin said the new enforcement should start in 30 days.
Cincinnati voted last month to decriminalize possession of up to 100 grams of marijuana.
