The Chardon Community Action Team announced plans for a discussion about if marijuana is harmless or not.
The night of discussion will take place on Feb. 13 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Morning Star Friends Church, 12550 Ravenna Road in Chardon. The evening begins with a free family dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., then from 6:30 to 8 there will be a discussion lead by Tony Coder, who was appointed to the Ohio Medical Marijuana Advisory Committee and is currently assistant director of Drug-Free Action Alliance.
Child care will be available, but parents are asked to call ahead. Also, those who plan to attend the free family dinner before the discussion should make reservations.
The discussion panel will include Chardon Municipal Court Judge Terri L. Stupica; Helen Ullman, licensed Geauga County pharmacist; Pastor Matt Chesnes of Morning Star Friend Church, Tony Coder, of the Assistant Drug-Free Action Alliance; and Beth Williams, chief probation officer of the Geauga County Juvenile Court.
