Account Executive – Firelands Scientific – Westlake, OH

The Account Executive will report directly to the Ohio Sales Manager and be responsible for direct sales to dispensary partners focusing on account nurturing and market development. Account executive will lead all aspects of customer sales cycles, provide revenue and demand forecasts and owns retail buyer relationships. The right candidate will increase retail sales velocity by influencing patient demand through coordinated education and engagement strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve specified account goals. Selling in additional SKU’s, securing multiple menu facings, win new placements and find creative opportunities to grow sales volume.
  • Present and discuss sales and marketing collateral, brand values, products, cultivar genetic information and value adds.
  • Effective execution of dispensary communication work streams. Develop and maintain weekly information on product updates, new product launches, pricing, and market trends.
  • Identify and implement programming opportunities on the account level. Prepare and conduct strategic account review presentations quarterly with accounts.
  • Track and report all weekly sales achievements and challenges.
  • Assist Brand Ambassadors with maintaining high visibility in the market with a highly organized schedule of promotions, patient consultant trainings, and patient engagement events.
  • Identify and sustain key merchandising opportunities for accounts with dominant product placements and displays, ensuring execution and alignment with all sales programs.
  • Develop strong working knowledge of the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program (OMMCP) and understanding of the competitive market, keeping industry knowledge current and up to date.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator on impactful social media campaigns in alignment with product education and product launches.
  • Engage with dispensaries to collect feedback on products; submit additional collateral requests based off feedback. Bring Patient and Client feedback to company management; assist with improvements in strain/genetic literature, cannabinoid and terpene profile matrices, marketing, and sales tactics based on feedback.
  • Serve and support FiSci as a brand representative for community outreach, industry events and trade shows as needed.
  • Support and lead facility tours in Huron, OH.
  • Maintain all applicable reports and records, including those mandated by the OMMCP.

  • College Degree Preferred
  • Sales Experience Required – minimum of 2 years, prefer direct product
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, sociable, outgoing
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, both in person and remotely
  • Experience working in a sales role in a highly regulated industry preferred
  • Experience with sales management or CRM software preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to travel
  • Clean driving record, and valid Ohio driver’s license required
  • Travel by car, with occasional weekends and overnights as needed
  • Lengthy periods of prolonged sitting and standing
  • Lengthy periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones
  • Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer
  • May require lifting to 25 pounds occasionally

  • 50-75% travel by car, with occasional weekends and overnights as needed
  • Extended periods of prolonged sitting and standing
  • Extended periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones
  • Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer
  • May require lifting to 25 pounds occasionally
