Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized $2,000 worth of marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 71 last week.
Joshua L. Hall, 29, was pulled over for speeding in his 2005 Toyota Solara on Oct. 17 at about 11:55 a.m. near Dana Avenue, according to a news release from the Highway Patrol. Troopers said they could smell the marijuana during the interaction.
The troopers searched Hall’s car and found two plastic bags stuffed with marijuana on the back seat, according to police. They weighed more than a pound and were worth about $2,000, according to the release.
Hall, of Cincinnati, was arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $10,000 bond. He faces one count each of trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs.
According to court documents, he posted bond Monday and was released from jail.
The grand jury is scheduled to report on Hall’s case on Oct. 27 at 10:30 a.m.
